Annual MS4 Meeting April 6, 2017
As part of the Township Board of Supervisors regular meeting to be held at the Township Building on April 6, 2017, starting at 7:30 pm, the Board of Supervisors will hold its Annual MS4 (Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System) Meeting.
The MS4 meeting will include a summary of projects and other tasks accomplished by the Township in the past year to satisfy its obligations under the state and federal MS4 program plus an overview of how residents can spot water quality problems in streams and waterways around the Township. Stormwater management mapping will be displayed, meeting attendees will have a chance to ask questions or raise concerns about local streams, and the Township will explain its future
MS4 goals and objectives.
All Township residents are welcome.


Denver Road Bridge Project - Road Closure
Beginning at 9 am on Monday, February 20, 2017, the westbound lane of the Denver Road bridge over Stony Run will be closed to traffic so that the bridge can be reconstructed. The westbound lane closure will be in place for most of 2017. The eastbound lane of the bridge will remain open to traffic throughout the bridge reconstruction project. A reduced speed limit of 25 mph will be enforced in the vicinity of the bridge during the project.

East Cocalico Township is one of the northeastern townships of Lancaster County. It was divided from Cocalico Township in 1838. Irregularly shaped, the Township has a length of approximately 5.5 miles and an average width of 3.5 miles. The Township is named for the Cocalico Creek and the Indian Village present here when the first European settlers arrived.
Cocalico is pronounced:   koh-kal-ê-koh
“Cocalico” is an anglicized pronunciation of the Indian phrase “koch-hale-kung”.
